By accessing or using the Lerntix platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Important: These terms apply to all users, including students, instructors, and visitors. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
2. Account Registration
You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Students: Must provide accurate personal information and agree to our community guidelines.
Instructors: Must verify their expertise & agree to additional instructor terms.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Content & Intellectual Property
All content provided on Lerntix — including course materials, videos, code, and text — is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
User Content: You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a license to use it for platform operations.
Prohibited: You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
Instructors retain rights to their course content, but grant Lerntix a non-exclusive license to host and promote.
4. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds
Students: Course fees, subscription plans, and any applicable taxes are clearly displayed at checkout. All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment providers.
Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for subscription plans. For individual courses, refunds are available within 48 hours of purchase if less than 10% of the content has been accessed.
Secure payments: All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant. We never store your full payment details.
5. Privacy & Data Protection
Your privacy matters to us. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws (GDPR, CCPA).

- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform.
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

7. Termination & Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to the community.
By you: You may delete your account at any time via your settings.
By us: We may terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, copyright infringement, or violation of community standards.
Upon termination, you will lose access to the Service, and we may delete your data as per our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in San Francisco County, California.
